About

Dr. Larisa started her career in Health Care as a Registered Nurse with a decade of experience working in Cardiac, ICU, post-anesthesia recovery and medical units in Vancouver BC St. Paul’s Hospital.

She received Honours Bachelors of Nursing from University of Victoria with the plan to apply to medical school eventually.  However, noticing how our current health care model rarely focuses on prevention and mindset, she chose to become a chiropractor.  Aligned spine and well functioning joints work with the nervous system and offer life long resilience for the body to live the life we love!

She moved to Toronto to earn a Chiropractic Doctorate from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and started practising in Toronto.  In the last decade she opened her practice, had 2 children, closed her practice and moved to the Beaches, her dream area of the city to live in and is currently working part time and enjoying being a mother.

Dr. Larisa specilizes looking at health from various perspectives and utilizes the latest brain research to heal the body.  You are not meant to do this alone.  We heal in the support of the community and our team.  Together we will examine past injuries and past beliefs around health and re write your health stories with Neuro-linguistic programming, compassion and future based goal setting.  This is a unique approach to optimal living, aging and daily activities of life that incorporates body, mind and soul.

Dr. Larisa Shevchuk is a Certified Human & Animal Chiropractor practising since 2012 and started her career as Registered Nurse blending Western and Eastern Medicine approaches.  Most of her furry clients are dogs and cats.  The most exotic animal that she has adjusted was baby crocodile that was captured to pose for photos in Belize.  Anyone who has a spine can benefit from Chiropractic Care.
