About

I am honoured and so very pleased to join the eclectic and talented team at Therapy Lounge!

Acupuncture has been a part of my life for many years and has helped me attune to my body. I want to help others to heal and feel more connected to their bodies, spirit and mind and reap the many benefits of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture that I have been so grateful to experience.

In addition to Acupuncture, I received training as a Thanadoula at the Institute of Traditional Medicine in their Contemplative End of Life program. This training provided the understanding of the bio-psycho-spiritual-social dimensions of caring for the dying and informed my intuitive, gentle and conscientious approach to Acupuncture.

I’ve also completed my 250 hour Yoga Teacher Training and especially enjoy teaching Yin Yoga. I love blending the modality of Yoga with Chinese Medicine organ and meridian theory.

As an Acupuncturist, I try to be a guide, by using my intuition and knowledge to help Qi, your energy/life force, move unabated so the mind, body and spirit can work in harmoniously together. I also value the importance of diagnosis and seeking out the root cause rather than just treating the symptom.

I think, as an individual and practitioner, it’s important to embrace our imperfections and work towards acceptance as a way of healing. Leonard Cohen expressed this sentiment beautifully: “There is a crack, a crack in everything. That’s how the light gets in.”

In my free time, you’ll most likely see me in the lovely Beach community with my son Eben. We love to go for long walks along the board walk and gaze out onto the lake or try to skip rocks. We also love exploring the different pockets of Toronto and the island.
