Hello, my name is Tyleen and I am a Register Massage Therapist at Therapy Lounge.
I have grown-up all-over Canada and have found my forever home here in Toronto. I believe that living in so many different places throughout my life has made me look forward to meeting and working with people. I have always found joy in working with my hands, whether it be artistically or athletically. Being able to help people live their lives in their bodies more comfortably is a wonderful feeling for myself and the people I get to work with.
In 2019 I was able to bring all my talents together when I decided to pursue massage as a career at Sutherland-Chan College of Massage Therapy. There I was able to learn the skills to treat musculoskeletal needs with Swedish massage, deep tissue, hydrotherapy, therapeutic exercises, postural assessments, joint mobilizations, fascial work, and self-care. This has allowed me to help my clients on their journey to living their best life.
At the college I had the opportunity to work on a regular basis with seniors, pregnant patients, at Toronto General Hospital in the multi-organ transplant ward, people with concussions and severe headaches, sports massage, and people with varying issues. I have over 40 hours of volunteer with multiple sporting events such as the CN Tower stair climb, Golf events, Toronto kinesiology games, softball, biking, running, volleyball, and cyclists. In 2021 I graduated and have been enjoying working ever since.
With massage I can help you with achieving relaxation in your mind and body, reducing stress, reducing pain, rehabilitate an old or new injury, and more.
In my off time I love to try as many different foods as I can, playing games and spending quality time with my friends and family when I get the chance, and learning new things that spark my interest. I can never have too many hobbies. I am on 2 softball teams throughout the warmer season and a curling enthusiast in the winter.
I am very excited and happy to be working at Therapy Lounge and can’t wait to see where this career takes me.
