About

Dr. Larisa Shevchuk — Chiropractor for Humans & Animals

Larisa began her healthcare journey as a Registered Nurse, spending a decade caring for people in Vancouver’s St. Paul’s Hospital — in Cardiac, ICU, Post-Anesthesia Recovery, and Medical units. She graduated with Honours from the University of Victoria with every intention of going to medical school. But along the way she saw how rarely our current healthcare system talks about prevention, mindset, and the deeper healing that comes when body and spirit work together.

Curious and bold, Larisa changed direction and moved to Toronto to earn her Doctorate of Chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. She fell in love with a more holistic vision of health — one where an aligned spine and well-functioning joints help the nervous system thrive, so we can live the life we truly love.

Over the past decade she has built a practice, welcomed two children, and created a home in Toronto’s Beaches — her dream neighbourhood by the water. These days she works part-time, balancing her love for healing work with being a present mom.

Larisa’s approach is anything but cookie-cutter. She looks at health from many angles — body, mind, and soul — and weaves in the latest brain research, neuro-linguistic programming, compassion practices, and future-focused goal setting. Together with her clients, she helps rewrite old health stories, release past injuries and limiting beliefs, and step into vibrant, resilient living.

And yes, she also adjusts animals — mostly dogs and cats, but once even a baby crocodile in Belize (true story!). Because anyone with a spine deserves to feel great in their body.
