Our Spring theme is Growth and Rebirth!
Spring is a time of growth and rebirth, of change and new beginnings. This spring we celebrate the changes associated with pregnancy, infancy and childhood.
Pregnancy is one of the most beautiful and transformative events a woman can experience. The emotional and physical changes that take place are extremely exciting but at times, can feel overwhelming and uncomfortable. Pregnancy massage can be highly beneficial on many levels. Massage is a gentle, non-invasive approach which can soothe the spirit and help the body return to a more natural state of balance. The emotional support provided by a caring practitioner is excellent for helping reduce anxiety and promoting relaxation. Swedish techniques, can address the discomforts that come with the physical demands of a growing baby: nausea, back, hip, knee and leg pain, joint paint, headaches, muscle cramping and swelling. It can also be used to help promote a more restful sleep. A qualified therapist will ensure that positioning on the massage table and the techniques used are safe for each stage of pregnancy and highly effective to address any specific discomforts. Pregnancy massage is a simple and effective way to address any aches and pains associated with pregnancy and leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed.
Massage Therapy can be extremely beneficial in the postpartum period as well. Labour can create many physical imbalances and the challenge of adjusting to life with a newborn can wreak havoc on the body. Massage during this period can address the physical discomforts that arise from nursing/feeding posture and carrying an infant for extended periods of time, as well as encouraging the body to enter into a more restful state to allow for relaxation and healing. All our practitioners can help to provide relief and comfort during this exciting, exhausting and wonderfully demanding time.
