I graduated from Sutherland-Chan School and Teaching Clinic in 2004 and I’ve been practicing Massage Therapy ever since. I also have a degree in Communications and Sociology from York University and a degree in Radio and Television Arts from Ryerson University.

Massage therapy is a second career for me. I worked in the television industry for seven years, all the while receiving massage therapy regularly as part of my healthcare and sanity maintenance… and it was a godsend. Just setting foot in my massage therapist’s clinic made me feel better, as it meant an escape from the stresses of my daily life and relief from the muscular aches and pains caused by them.

It was during this time that I seriously started to consider pursuing a career in massage therapy. Being able to help others improve their quality of life while having to stay healthy in order to do so was a big draw. So I left my career in television to study massage therapy… and I’ve never looked back. Along the way I’ve gotten married, had two beautiful children and moved into this wonderful community where I now live and work.

I have extensive experience in treatment-based massage, having worked for years in a multidisciplinary clinic alongside chiropractors, physiotherapists and doctors. I also enjoy giving relaxation treatments because I know how awesome they feel and how effective they are… they’re my favourite type of treatment to receive. I like to be as thorough as possible in my massage treatments and draw on a variety of techniques such as stretching, muscle energy technique, myofascial release and rhythmic mobilization. I consider my treatment style to be evidence based, holistic and always modified to your needs. I’ve worked with a variety of clients over the years from infants to pregnant women, athletes to the elderly. Whether it’s relaxation you’re looking for, health and body maintenance, addressing muscular imbalance, or rehabilitation from injury, I can help you.

There is no better feeling than knowing I have positively impacted my clients’ health by providing them with an outlet of escape and relaxation from a stressful day or relief from pain due to injury. I appreciate giving massages because of the focused attention and intent that’s involved in the one-on-one interaction with a client. I feel fortunate to have found a career that fulfills me in this way. I look forward to helping you optimize your health and enjoyment of life through massage.

Elfriede

RMT Elfriede Erzen provides Massage Therapy, Reflexology and Pre/Post Natal Massage Therapy.

Wednesday 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Saturday 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

A 2018 graduate of Sutherland-Chan Massage school, I also have an acting background and B.A in Psychology and Drama from McMaster University. My years working in theatre and film laid the groundwork for my interest in the mind/body/spirit connection. While pursing acting, I dabbled in Thai Yoga massage, received my Reiki I, and became certified in Reflexology. It was while practicing Reflexology part-time that I realized I wanted to expand my knowledge and training.

Life often takes a detour and I took time off to raise my 2 boys and live in Ireland. Back in Canada I found myself working full-time at Sick Kid’s Hospital in an administration role for 6 years. The stress of the office worker became very apparent to me. Working along side the incredible medical staff there, I knew I had to play a more active role in healthcare. I now find myself on this amazing journey of massage therapy.

I work with a number of techniques such as Swedish massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, hydrotherapy and stretch. I can provide relaxation, deep tissue, reflexology, and pregnancy massage and have experience with a wide range of issues such as long term postural fault, sports injury, MS, headaches, pain and fatigue.

Together we will customize a treatment plan that best suits your needs. I believe massage therapy works on many levels and I look forward to helping you to achieve your goals in health care and well being.

JenniferK

Registered Acupuncturist Jennifer Keithprovides Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture and Cosmetic Acupuncture with a special interest in fertility, pregnancy and women’s health. Each treatment is individualized and can include several modalities in addition to acupuncture—such as moxibustion, cupping, guasha, auricular (ear) therapy, and tuina massage, as well as diet and life-style counselling.

Monday 3:15 pm – 8:00 pm
Wednesday 3:15 pm – 8:00 pm

While pursuing a Bachelors degree in Kinesiology (with a particular interest in athletic therapy), I was introduced into the world of holistic medicine and modalities. Not only did this new world spark my interest, I got to see first hand how it was healing those around me. It was then that I realized I could treat so much more than just injuries.

I’ve had the pleasure of training under many great practitioners and picked up many new skills along the way. I have developed a gentle approach to treatment, and strive to create a safe, comfortable and relaxing environment for all patients. Each treatment is specifically tailored to the individual and may include complementary modalities such as cupping, gua sha, moxibustion and tuina.

While I still have a love for sports injuries and pain management, my new passion lies in women’s health issues. Some of the many treatable conditions include, PMS, cramping, numerous gynaecological issues, infertility and menopause.

Don’t just take my word for it, come in and try it for yourself. I look forward to working with you and guiding your body back to health.
